Mrs. Sharon Chaney, 77, passed away on November 25, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Sharon was born on July 24, 1947, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Johnny and Eula Green Johnson. Sharon worked as a Secretary for Babcock and Wilcox. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and dancing, She was an avid and accomplished cook. She was a member of the Martha Chapter of The Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She married Ed Chaney on June 2, 1984, in West Point. She attended Free Praise and Worship Center in West Point.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Johnson.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Chaney of West Point: two daughters, Renee Harpole of West Point and Stacy Keltner (Bobby) of Amory: two sons, Eddie Chaney and Jeffery Chaney (Jennifer), both of West Point: five grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: one sister-in-law, Teresa Jones (Roger) of Aberdeen, and one brother-in-law, Ivan Chaney (Lyn) of Snyder, Texas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
