Obituary of Sharon Ann Class
Sharon Ann (Shari) Class (née Ogg) of Mahtowa, MN found her ultimate joy in the arms of her Creator in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Emergency Room in Moose Lake, MN. Her passing as the result of complications from an infection was unexpected, but mercifully swift.
Shari was born on September 18th, 1948 to Billy and Irene (Yatckoske) Ogg, from whom she inherited her lifelong ethic of selfless service. A strong and independent woman, she travelled the world and spread joy and laughter wherever she went. Those who were blessed to have her in their life knew her as a lavish source of compassion, support and brownies. In 1979 she met Tom Class on the front step of the Mahtowa Covenant Church, where she would eventually devote 41 years of service as an organizer, teacher, mentor and sister to so many. In 1980 she married Tom, and gave birth to their only son Joe in 1981. The home they built together, surrounded abundantly by trees and wildlife, was her sanctuary. On her walls and shelves guests could clearly read the story of what was most dear to her heart: memories, family and faith.
Her presence will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Tom; her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Anna; her grandchildren, Emily, Julian and Jackson; brothers, Larry (Lorraine) and Gary; sister-in-law, Phyllis (David Kitcoff); and the host of extended family and friends whose lives and hearts she touched.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at the Mahtowa Covenant Church (visitation begins at 10:00 a.m.). In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted to benefit the Covenant Park Bible Camp.
Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland funeral Home, 801 14 Street, Cloquet. To sign the guest book and leave an online tribute see, www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com
