Sharon Farrar Cook of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 2, 1952, in Lubbock, TX to the late Lawson Farrar and Maxine (Pribble) Farrar. She grew up on a farm south of Lubbock which is now the intersection of 82nd and Slide Road. She loved to tell stories about working on the farm. She was a graduate of Monterey High School in Lubbock. She spent most of her career serving others, working with children, the elderly and families in need. Sharon has attended Northside Church of Christ, South Plains Church of Christ and for the past 25 years, has been a member of Sunset Church of Christ where she met Danny Cook. Sharon and Danny were married on October 21, 2000. Sharon’s legacy is deeply intertwined with her unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ and her family. Sharon’s hobbies included singing, cooking, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and shopping. She was a nurturing soul who cherished each moment spent with her family and church friends. She will be remembered for her cooking/baking skills and her silly sense of humor.

Sharon was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jeff. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Kori Haggard and husband Ray, son Todd Mankin and wife Aubrey, step-daughter Lisa and the late Eric Neufeld, step-son Danson and Rachel Cook and step-son Dusty and Tiffany Cook. Sharon was “Nonna” to Hayden, Parker, Keaton, Cole, Cash, Presley, Dax and several great grandchildren. Her siblings are Mac Farrar, Dixie Dodd and Wanda Lambeth.

The family will receive friends from 5:00- 7:00 pm, Friday, February 27th 2026 at Venue on Broadway. Services are scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Sunset Church of Christ with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
