Sharon Dodds Obituary
Sharon Kay Dodds, 82, of DeGraff, passed away at 10:22 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on December 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Charles Robert Carr and Julia Rose (Hanna) Carr.
On December 3, 1961, Sharon married Earl Irwin Dodds in DeGraff, Ohio and he survives, along with their children, Mike (Gail) Dodds, and Diane (Chad) Spillers; five grandchildren, Derek Kobylack, Alyssa Dodds, Lorena Marie Knox, Mollie Le Hughes, and Oscar Michael Dodds; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Carr.
Sharon retired from United Midwest Savings Bank in DeGraff where she had worked as an Executive Secretary for many years.
Sharon was the heart of her family—a woman whose love was steady, selfless, and unconditional. As a wife, she was a true partner and a constant source of strength. As a mother, she poured her whole heart into raising her two children, always placing their needs before her own and guiding them with patience, warmth, and unwavering devotion. Her protective and nurturing spirit will continue to live on through them.
She was a natural caretaker, someone who instinctively made sure the people she loved were safe, supported, and never without what they needed. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, and her love shaped the lives around her in ways that will be felt forever.
She will be remembered for her gentle soul, her quiet strength, and the deep love she poured into her family every day. Though she is no longer with us, her presence will always be felt in the lives she touched and the love she leaves behind.
Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Tim Riley will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Sharon’s memory, to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnett Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
