Sharon Marie Farnsworth, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2025, with family at her side after a short but courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. Born on December 30, 1952, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Jeanne and Richard Friend, Sharon lived a life full of love, laughter, and quiet grace.
On March 15, 1975, she married the love of her life, Jeffry Farnsworth. Together, they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a joyful cruise to Aruba - a testament to their enduring love and partnership.
Sharon and Jeff raised their sons, Todd and Ryan, in Plover, Wisconsin. Together they enjoyed watching the boys play baseball and football, cheering on the Packers, gardening, and many wonderful vacations to warmer weather. Working many years as a Hershey's merchandiser made her a neighborhood legend, known for handing out full-sized candy bars.
In 2006, Sharon and Jeff moved to Grand Cayman, where she enjoyed the warmth of the Caribbean, peaceful days at Smith's Cove and reading to elementary students. She worked for Foster's Food Fair until she and Jeff retired to Hilton Head, South Carolina, in 2015.
During retirement, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life: listening to classic rock, watching hummingbirds and sunsets from her back porch, tending to her flowers and plants, traveling to Wisconsin to spoil grandchildren, cooking meals with love, reading good books, and riding along while Jeff chased the little white ball around the golf course.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff; sons Todd and Ryan (Valerie) Farnsworth; cherished grandchildren Dominic Lange, Sheena Burris, Lucille and Alexis Farnsworth, Damion and Kylie Farnsworth; and two great-grandchildren. Sharon is further survived by her three sisters, one brother, and countless nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne and Richard Friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers.
Sharon's warm hugs, and unshakable love for her family will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
Funeral Services for Sharon will be held at 12pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Shuda Plover Funeral Home - 2400 Plover Rd, Plover, WI. Friends and Family may gather to share memories from 10am until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
