Sharon Hawk Obituary
She was born on February 1, 1966 to George and Virginia (Kaufman) Slease in Kittanning, PA.
Sharon enjoyed crocheting and tending to her flower beds. She was a go getter who always stayed busy. She loved helping others.
Surviving is her husband John Hawk whom she wed September 8, 2000; daughter, Kristen Slease; brother, Larry (Kathy) Slease; two sisters, Karen Yorko and Cheryl (Kelly) Haight; granddaughters, Kylee Slease and Kayla (Kristofer) Peterson; great grandson, Grayson Peterson who was the light of her life; niece, Carrie Slease; nephews, Kurt and Kenny (Kaitlyn) Haight; and a great niece, Kelsey Haight.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kimberly Slease; nephew, Matthew Slease; and a brother-in-law, Michael Yorko.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 11:00 am at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA, with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 156, Rural Valley, PA 16249. to assist with funeral arrangements.

Sharon was not only someone in our lives who took care of our home for 23 years; she became a true friend to me. Last we spoke in March we spent hours on the phone remembering all the years, the children and grandchildren good and bad. We laughed so much as we remembered and she told me she loved me. I will never forget this wonderful woman I found in the newspaper. She became someone I will be thankful for knowing in my lifetime. I know someday I will see her again and we will continue our friendship. For the children, John and all the grandchildren and family; Remember Sharon with joy and laughter. You are all so blessed.
