OBITUARY
Sharon Lynn Hayes passed away on April 22, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband and several family members were by her side as she fell asleep and walked into the arms of our loving Savior.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan and has been a resident of Monroe, Georgia for 26 years.
She was proceeded in death by her grandson Cory Mortzfield and son-in-law Greg Donnelly.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Julian B. Hayes of Monroe; her mother Florence Shirley Flek of Taylor, Michigan; her brothers Daniel (Connie) St. John of Hollister, California and David St. John, of Taylor, Michigan; her son Robert Fee Jr.; her daughters Karey (Keith) Gruden, Michelle Donnelly, and Heather (Scott) Mortzfield; her son Jay (Jozina) Hayes, daughters Nancy-Ann (Steve) Merka, Laura Hayes, and Kasandra (Jason) Shoemaker; grandchildren Nicholas (Lauren) Wallace, Kyle Gruden, Trevor (Sara) Gruden, Ashley Fee, Jeremy (Halle) Pellar, Aschelle Pellar, Cody Mortzfield, Tim (Caitlin) Talford, Jarod (Megan) Hoyer, 6 other grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The family will be accepting guests at 10:30 AM and the service will start at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 110 Mill Street, Monroe, Georgia 30655.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests a donation to St. Stephen's UMC in the memory of Sharon L. Hayes.
