Sharon Janice Hill, 76, of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on June 30, 1947 in Evergreen Park, IL to Robert and Elaine (Tarnroos) Hill. She is survived by her three children, Lisa (Bud) Choate, Todd (Jeanna) Kayer and Paula Kayer; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Vivian) Kayer, Jacob Benge, Cassiday Kayer, Nathan Kayer, Xander Choate, Zane Choate, Courtney (John) Halwix and Zac Choate; four Great-Grandchildren, Hazel, Abigail, Mickenzie and Griffin. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathy (Richard) Jones, Craig (Carol) Hill, Richard (Karen) Hill and Kenneth (Renee) Hill, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest brother, Dennis.
Sharon enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, playing her games and showing everyone pictures of her grandchildren. She believed that no matter what was going on or how you might be feeling, there was always room for a little ice cream (preferably Neapolitan) and the only drink worth drinking was a Coke. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10:00 until 12:00 pm with a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm. Interment will follow to Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Womenheart.org or The American Lung Association. The family of Sharon Hill would like to thank the staff at Bardwell Residences for taking such great care of her these last few months. We are grateful for the friendship and support you provided her.
