Sharon Marie Hoppert (Arnst), age 86, was welcomed home on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Sharon was born at home, in Sheboygan, WI, June 4, 1938. After graduating from Central High School in 1956 she worked at Citizens Bank until she married John Ernest Hoppert on November 8, 1958. They were blessed with two sons, Rev. James Hoppert and Mark Hoppert. She was employed as a bookkeeper at various Sheboygan businesses and retired from Thomas Industries in 1999.
Sharon was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, spending time on the computer, playing cards, and travelling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons, John Michael Hoppert, and James ‘Drew’ Hoppert.
Sharon was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, and former member of Zion United Church of Christ where she was a choir member and Sunday School teacher.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Rev. James (Abby) Hoppert and Mark (Larry Santiago) Hoppert; grandsons, John Michael Hoppert and James ‘Drew’ Hoppert; sister-in-law, Ann (Jim) Hoppert Keller; nephews/nieces including Jeff (Jeff Wilke) Miller, Bonnie (Dennis) Cain, Randy (Penney) Miller, Steven (Annie Jurczyk) Miller, Frederic Hoppert Jr., Jonathan (Karen) Hoppert, David Hoppert, Philip (Mary Ellen) Hoppert, Chris Hoppert, Mardyth (William) Pollard, Laurel (Curt) Joa, Mary (Dan) Swanson, and Anne (Jeff Olson) Beihoffer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ernest Hoppert, parents Otto and Ruth (Spradau) Arnst, brother Ronald Arnst, sister Joyce (Norbert) Miller; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frederic (Vi) Hoppert and Martin (Edyth) Hoppert, Harriet (Al) Stickney and Kathryn (Dale) Beihoffer.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A Funeral Service for Sharon will be held at NOON on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan with Rev. Beth Petzke officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Sharon will be interned at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Garden Terrace Mausoleum, Kohler, WI. The family would like to thank the staff of both Rocky Knoll Health Care Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the excellent care given to Sharon. They would also like to thank Rev. Beth Petzke for her support during this time.
