Sharon Jaynes Obituary Sharon K. Jaynes of Warsaw, Indiana passed into Heaven on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the care of Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 79. She loved her Lord and throughout her life held a close relationship with her Savior. Sharon had a lifelong passion studying her Bible and learning about her Lord both at church and at home in her special study room.
She was born on October 8, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Anna Louise (Johnson) Voght and Harold Breese Voght. Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Northside High School in Ft. Wayne. She married Jack Cler, sadly he passed away. She was blessed to have met someone special, and married Richard "Dick" H. Jaynes on September 15, 1979. She moved to Warsaw, and they shared 45 years together before she passed away. During their time together they especially enjoyed ballroom dancing for the last 40 years.
Sharon worked for many years in quality control at Lincoln Life in Fort Wayne. She loved the piano and as an adult took piano lessons. She enjoyed her church family at Christ's Covenant Church in Winona Lake, Indiana and enjoyed worshipping and learning about her Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Sharon would most want to be remembered for her faith in her Savior Jesus Christ.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dick Jaynes (Warsaw, IN); two daughters, Theresa (Tim) Hurdelbrink (Mandan, ND); Rebecca Cler (Ft. Wayne, IN); step-daughter, Kandi (Kent) Jones (Etna Green, IN); five grandchildren, Jenna (Micah) Burkett (South Whitley, IN); Ashley Jones (Warsaw, IN); Cara (Kevin) Yost, Michael Cler, and Kristen Hurdelbrink (all of Minneapolis, MN); and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Richard (Nancy) Voght (Columbus, OH); Bob Vought; and Tom (Lori) Voght (both of Ft. Wayne, IN). She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Jack Cler.
Sharon's life will be celebrated with a service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Rod Valentine. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
