Sharon Wendy Carbine Lloyd, 72, of Layton, Utah passed away Wednesday July 24, 2024. She was born March 10,1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Edmund Wendell and Marjorie Carbine. She was the middle child of seven and daddy’s special girl.
Sharon made life fun and magical for all who knew her. She brought joy and hope to so many. She loved and accepted everyone who came into her life. She was easy to get along with and be around and had a way of making you feel so special, beautiful, and loved. Sharon was extremely talented, creative, and artistic. Anything she touched became a work of art. She loved to quilt and sew. She was selfless, always thinking of others, and giving of her talents. Sharon’s quiet, witty humor could make the room chuckle with very few words. Sharon had a deep love of family and especially children.
She is survived by her husband Doug Lloyd. Her children, Wendy Ynchausti (Don), April Coulam, Emily Coulam (TH Steele), John Coulam (Kristen Nelson); stepchildren, Tyson Lloyd (Grace), Brittany Edwards (Ricky), Thaxton Lloyd; and 11 grandchildren. (Brenna, Silas, Zakk, Derek, Taylor, Baylee, Jaxson, Marlee, Otis, Dashiell, Oliver, and August). One sister Susan Johnson, and four brothers; Edmund Wm. Carbine, James W. Carbine, Dennis R. Carbine, and Douglas S. Carbine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; older brother Michael Carbine; and grandson Dashiell Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, 11 am at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. There will be a viewing for friends and family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
