Sharon Long Obituary

Sharon was born June 19, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Clara City High School and Mounds Midway School of Nursing. She was devoted to the nursing profession and participated in many nursing specialties and was instrumental in establishing the "Nurse Line" for PHP, now called United Health Care. She completed her career as a Special Investigator for the MN Department of Health. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survived by husband of 59 years, Allyn; son, Scott Allyn Long; daughter, Michelle Marie Nelson (Hanson); granddaughter, Bethany Marie Arenz; grandson, Connor Alton Hanson; great-granddaughter, Taitum Marie Arenz; brothers, Edward, Dennis and James; and sisters, Carol Wallenberg and Janice Johnson. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Florence (Tague) Woltjer.

I am only discovering Sharon's obituary today, and I'm sad to hear of her passing. I was an intern the summer before the nurse line went live and she has a special place in my heart, my first "boss" out of college. I know you all still are missing her.
She'll remain vibrant in her lil sports car in my memories.
