Obituary of Sharon P. Malaspina
Sharon Patricia Malaspina, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2023. She was 71 years old.
She was born on September 18, 1951, in Peekskill, NY to Rose and Hershel Fields.
On December 30, 1970, she married the late Robert Malaspina at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Sharon worked as a travel agent at Hollowbrook Travel. She had a love of travel, and over the years she has visited places from Alaska to Mexico to Italy and everywhere in between and always with her family and friends. Sharon was also known for her delicious meals; she would host the best Thanksgiving feast and have a spread like no other. From her family's favorite meatballs, stuffing, delicious pies, and of course, the largest birds she could find.
She is survived by her three children; Christopher (Tara) Malaspina of Wappingers Falls, NY, Dennis (Judy) Malaspina of Poughquag, NY, Andrea Malaspina of Cortlandt Manor, NY and her cherished granddaughters Ava and Savannah Malaspina. Also surviving are her sister Roseann (Mark) Sullivan of Hopewell Junction, her sister-in-law Anna Maria (Joseph) Smith, her brother-in-law Peter Malaspina, her sister-in-law Cecilia (Frank) Pugliese and Helene Malaspina along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Fields and brother-in-law Frank Malaspina.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Columbanus Church, 122 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
Private cremation to follow.
