Sharon Pickering Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge on Apr. 20, 2024.
April 8th, 2024, will be remembered for the solar eclipse.
But for our family, it will be remembered as a solemn day.
Sharon Lee Lake Pickering left this beautiful world behind. With her passing, she leaves behind one brother, Joseph Lake; three exceptional children, Brent Pickering, Todd Pickering (Christina), and Carol Johnson (Richard Wieding); three grandchildren, Shelby Grammer (Ryan), Jake Pickering, and Carter Pickering, and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Grammer, and Olivia Grammer, all who loved her tremendously and without reservations.
Those who have known her for some time know her spicey attitude and her joy for life with her family. When looking at the definition of "Grandma & Mom," you would see a picture of her (likely with her middle finger raised at the jackass driving next to her). Sharon left behind a fantastic legacy, and we can only hope that she watches over all of us, full of pride for the family she left behind, and that we will all continue to do things with a little bit of her spice. We know each day, things will settle a little more, and with time, we will all heal, but we ask those who knew her to please say a prayer for our family. Keep them in strength and wrapped in love during this time. We lost our matriarch, our mother, our grandmother, our friend, our sister, our aunt, and our neighbor; we lost a daughter of our lords, and life will not be the same.
Words will never be enough to express your gratitude, love, compassion, and understanding throughout our lives. You are a warrior, strong and true. We will miss you and forever love you.
Your mourning Family.
Interment services at Ft.Sam Houston National Cemetery will take place on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 9:45am at shelter number 5.
