Sharon Ruth Balmer Rasin was born on January 23, 1949, in Rochester, New York, to Margaret and Lawrence Balmer. She passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in North Carolina, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bob, Lawrence, and Steve.
She is survived by her sisters, Linda and Darlene; her daughters, Nikole (Scott) Edgar and Jennifer (Bryan) Crews; her grandchildren, whom she lovingly called her “five joys,” Anna, Sharon, Lara, Meghan, and Aaron; and her great-grandsons, Raheem and Khalid.
Sharon was a talented crafter, enjoyed gardening, and felt most at home in the mountains of North Carolina.A private family service will be held in the spring.
We rejoice that she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior, and she will be deeply missed
