Sharon Ann Schaack, age 83, of Littleton, CO, died peacefully on April 7, 2025, at her home in Littleton, CO.
Sharon was born on August 18, 1942, in Rock Island IL. She was the daughter of Ruth (Lofgren) and Richard Charles. When she was about 10 years old, the family moved to California where she attended elementary and Fullerton High School where she was active in sports and other activities and graduated from there in 1960. After graduation, she worked at various jobs in California before moving to Billings MT with her mother.
She worked for the Bureau of Reclamation in Billings where she met her future husband, Jerome (Jerry) Schaack who were married in Billings MT in November, 1965, in a Catholic ceremony. They moved to Bismarck ND in 1966 where their three children: David Jerome, Daniel Math, and Diana Ruth were born. They also lived in Boise ID before moving to the Denver CO area where she lived the remainder of her life.
Sharon lived life with passion, vitality and persistence often befriending those who were less fortunate. She loved: her family, to dance, to have fun with friends and family, the Broncos, the NDSU Bison, golf, and animals and embraced them all in her own personal and unique way! She worked at home mostly but also at different jobs after her children left home; she wasn’t afraid to tackle any job and often did.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Ruth, by a granddaughter Alana Maez and by a great- grandson Noah Poitra-Maez. She is survived by her half-sister Lorrie (Rick) Nunley, Prescott AZ. She leaves behind her children: David (Janeth) Schaack, grandson Wolf and granddaughter Stefhe (Bismarck ND); Daniel (Christy) Schaack and granddaughters Ava and Arie (Highlands Ranch CO); and Diana Schaack and grandsons Kyle and Seth (Bismarck ND). She also leaves behind our very special friend Jayne who has been always been there with her and for her!
We wish to thank everyone who provided kindness, compassion, and support to Sharon.
Sharon will be cremated and there will not be a memorial service at this time. She will be interned beside her mother Ruth and stepfather Jerry Thompson near Bozeman MT at a later undecided date.
