Sharon Faith Tennant

Sharon Faith Tennant, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the age of 81, in Bath, NY. Born on November 20, 1942, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Edward and Violet (Streb) Tabak.
Sharon lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her church, and her community.
Sharon was the beloved wife of Donald A. L. Tennant, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage filled with mutual respect, unwavering support, and deep love. She raised her children, Jonathan Covell and Lisa Covell, in a home that was always warm and welcoming. Sharon's joy was multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Alysa and Alex, and her great-grandson, Henry, who brought her immeasurable happiness and pride. She was predeceased by her parents and her first husband.
For many years, Sharon served diligently as a secretary for the Henrietta Assembly of God Church, along with many other churches in the region. Her work was not merely a job but a calling, as she poured her heart into every task, ensuring that the administrative life of the church ran smoothly. Her dedication to her faith and church community was evident to all who knew her.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Sharon would describe her as faith-filled, loving, and gentle. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. Her loving nature made her a friend to many, and her gentle spirit was a comfort to those around her. Sharon's legacy is one of kindness, service, and devotion. She lived her life as a testament to her beliefs, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were touched by her presence. Sharon's family takes comfort in knowing that she lived a full and meaningful life and that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
A funeral service will be held on Monday September 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. A graveside service will be held at the Bath National Cemetery at 2:00 pm with burial to follow.
