David Lang Tennant

David Lang Tennant, 71, of Casco, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 28, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born October 28, 1953, in Detroit to the late John and Patricia (nee Skotcher) Tennant. David married Lynne Peters on May 28, 1977, at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Detroit.
Dave enjoyed watching hydroplane races on the Detroit River. His favorite cars were Buick and loved seeing a classic wood Chris Craft on the water. He had a great love for music as well. Dave was the life of the party. He was a people person and no matter where he went, he ran into someone he knew.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Lynne; daughters, Amy (Caleb) Milton and Sara (Darrel) Schueneman; grandchildren, Gavin, Marcella, Samantha, Amelia, Rosalie and Annabelle; siblings, Douglas, Dawn Dryden and Deanna Weipert; sister-in-law, Cathie Tennant; brother-in-law, Richard Ybarra. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Patricia Tennant; siblings Dale, Dean and Deborah Ybarra.
The family honors the memory of Dave and invites you to visit and share memories Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. with visiting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Jim Vance will officiate.
