Sharon Darlene Winborne

Sharon Darlene Winborne, 71 years of age, of Borger, Texas, peacefully passed from this life into eternal glory in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1953, in Pampa, Texas to O.L. and Evelyn Ledford.
A native of the panhandle, Sharon attended school in Skellytown then later went on to receive her LVN license. She has cared for others over the years at Cornado Healthcare Nursing Home, Pampa Nursing Center, and McLean Care Center. Eventually she left the nursing field but still fulfilled her passion for caring for others by means of food service. She waited tables and cooked at various restaurants with Heard & Jones being the last place she worked at.
Sharon never turned down an opportunity to play Bingo and it was a sure-fire bet that upon walking into her house, an old western was thick in the throws of a gunfight on her television! Some might agree that Sharon was a little on the mischievous side and she gave her opinion whether you wanted it or not. A bit boisterous, she was a firecracker - after all, dynamite does come in small packages! From the time she was old enough to talk until the day of her passing, she wormed her way out of chores, wiggled her way out of trouble, tantalized her siblings, and blamed them although they were innocent of any wrongdoing all because "she was daddy's baby and the favorite kid." Sister, your love of life, laughter, and ability to make others laugh will be dearly missed by us all.
She was reunited with loved ones into Heaven by her loving husband, John Winborne; her parents; two brothers, Darrell Wayne Ledford and James Ledford; and a son, Freddy Joe Winborne.
Those remaining to laugh at her antics and cherish her love are her sons, Darrell Wayne Davis and wife Cheryl of Mesquite, TX, John Jay Winborne of New Castle, OK; a daughter, Marlene Roye of Pampa; a brother, Jerry Ledford of Borger; her sister, Ada Westbrook of Fritch; two grandchildren, Corey Harrison and wife Laura, Felisha Kafka and husband Colby; and six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Avery, Allison, Cassidy, Isabella, Christopher as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Celebration of Life Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 4, 2025, with a viewing beginning at noon at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Ben Corbitt and the family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
