Sharon R. Yates, age 69, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, October 22nd.
She was the loving mother of Alicia Yates and her boyfriend Brian LeFebvre of Dorchester, Mason Yates of Dallas, TX, and Gavin Yates and his girlfriend Dayna Bowman of Plymouth. Sister of Paul Riley of Norwell, Carolyn Maille of Dracut, Richard Riley of Manomet, and the late Joseph Riley and Ronnie Riley. Sharon is also survived by the father of her children, Dennis Yates.
Born in Boston on May 29, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Golden) Riley. Sharon grew up in Norwell and was a proud member of the Norwell High School Class of 1974. In 1986, she and Dennis moved to Plymouth to raise their family and open the doors of their family business, Rock Bottom Seafood. Sharon devoted herself to the business for decades, continuing until her retirement in 2021. Never one to sit still, she later enjoyed her work as a sales associate at Stop & Shop.
Sharon found peace and joy in nature and the outdoors. She loved spending time in the woods, hiking, tending to her gardens, and maintaining the most meticulous lawn in the neighborhood. Her love of animals was endless-especially for her grand-dog Griff, and her dogs Briee, Kayley, and the late Bailey.
A visitation will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court Street (North), Plymouth, on Thursday, October 30th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to 3V Restaurant, 10 Cordage Park Cir Suite 253, Plymouth, following the visitation.
