Shawn Christopher Brannon of Spring Garden, Alabama passed away June 9, 2025 at the age of 41. Shawn was born February 3, 1984 in Marietta, Georgia to Karen Walker Brannon and the late Larry E. Brannon. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, the late John E. Brannon and Midred Lee and Mildred Harris Logan and Roy G. Walker.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, James Brannon, Noah Brannon and Maya Brannon and their mother, Katie Miller. Plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shawn loved the outdoors and nature. He deeply loved his children. One of his greatest joys was going camping with them along a flowing creek or deep in the woods. He was an advocate of restoring old cars, especially Audis, Mercedes and BMWs. He would then resell them. He was very well read on astronomy and the stars. He could look in the sky and tell you the name of several stars. He had a passion for sailboats. He had dreams of sailing around the world. Shawn will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was a Christian by faith. He studied and knew the words of the Bible. As the wind blows, we know Shawn is sailing around the world as a sweet angel.
A memorial service for Shawn Brannon will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts will officiate.
Visitation for Shawn will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the go fund page set up by Katie Miller. The funds are for Shawn's children.
