Shawn Lamonte Gannaway, age 49 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away March 6, 2025, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on October 26, 1975. He was a graduate of Breckinridge County High School and former employee of Waupaca Foundry in Tell City, IN. Shawn enjoyed Facebook, watching action and comedy movies and was an avid UK fan. He was a great cook, a master on the grill and very much into nutrition. He loved his children and was a family man who always kept them laughing.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jessie Gannaway.
Shawn is survived by 3 children: Tashiana "Tash" Walker, Jude Gannaway and Scout Gannaway.
His father- Leroy Murray
Brother – Kevin Gannaway
Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend.
Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 2 – 4 PM with cremation to follow. All times are central.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
