Shawn "Carter" McNutt, 32, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024.
A private family graveside memorial will occur at Greenwood Memorial Park on Saturday, June 8th.
Carter was born in Fort Worth, TX, on October 10th, 1991, He was the beloved son of Shawn McNutt and Nicole Evans McNutt Carter had a deep connection with the Lord and loved his family. He especially adored his nephew Callum, who he doted on at every opportunity. He was kind to everyone he met, never having a bad word to say about anybody. He always went out of his way to help others, putting them before himself on every possible occasion. Along with his father, Shawn, and brother Corbin, they were known as the three amigos. The void will be vast but filled by Carter's spirit.
Carter graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He spent considerable time working as an Operations Manager at Chick-fil-A Benbrook, where he was cherished by his customers and coworkers. He later moved to JMJ Delivery, LLC. He was a hard-working and dedicated teammate who was recognized for his exceptional customer service.
Carter embraced the best in life. He loved all things sports, with his favorite sport being soccer. He was a keeper at Martin High School and a loyal Manchester United follower. He also enjoyed a relaxing rainy day, eating a peanut butter sandwich on the patio, golfing, and playing pickleball with his father and brother. He was beloved by his dog Charlie. Above everything, Carter enjoyed spending time with his nephew Callum. His love for Cal was beyond measure.
The loss of Carter is deeply felt by all who knew him. He was a beloved son, brother, a precious nephew, a devoted uncle, cousin, and friend. His kindness and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew him. The sorrow of his passing is only eased by the knowledge that he now stands beside the Lord, reunited with his grandparents, Ken and Betty McNutt, Jerry Evans, Aunt Pam McNutt, Uncle James Curtis, and cousin Jessica Kaylor.
Carter is survived by his father, Shawn McNutt and his wife Whitney Taylor, mother Nicole Evans McNutt, brother, Corbin and wife Kailey, cherished nephew, Callum, and grandmother, Andrea Evans. He will be truly missed by his aunts and uncles, Judy McNutt Burcie (Mike), Sandy McNutt, Diane McNutt McComb (Mike), Jacque McNutt Redmon (Jay), Janette McNutt Yetter (Gene), Kenneth Evans, Michelle Evans Brockenbush, and over fifty cousins.
In memory of Carter, the family requests that you practice random acts of kindness, hug your loved ones, and smile, just as Carter would have.
