Shawn was born in Corning, NY on September 15, 1973, to Harold and MaryJane (Lundgren) Semple.
Shawn loved the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Mets, and NASCAR, and was a life-time member of the Lindley-Presho Fire Department. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his friends and family and will forever be remembered by his smile and infectious laugh.
Shawn is survived by his parents, Harold and MaryJane Semple; sister, Stephanie (Mike) Provo; niece, Morgan Provo; nephew, Tyler Provo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and by uncles.
Shawn's family would like to thank Jennifer Tombs, Liz Tarr, and Bona Elliott, as well as many ARC employees that worked with Shawn over the years.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. 1st Street, Corning, where a Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm. Burial will be held at the family's convenience in Presho Cemetery in Lindley, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA, https://fingerlakesspca.org/, or to Make-A-Wish, https://wish.org/.
