Shawn was born on January 3, 1964. He is the son of Sandra Bernardo and the late Pasquilino Bernardo.
He received his education in Rutland and Bristol, VT. Shawn worked in construction for more than 30 years. He took pride in his work and made some real good friends along the way
He loved the Green Bay Packers and the NY Yankees, most of all he loved spending time with his family and being outside, whether it be working or just relaxing on the deck with a cold one.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Bonnie (Root) and his children Josh (Samantha) Root, Dillon (Kayla), Cody, Kylee, and Casey and his grandson Jackson Root who shares the same love of Yankees with him. His mother Sandra Bernardo, sister Marjory (Michael) Webb, and his brother Michael Stevens and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his dad Pasquilino Bernardo.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1pm Sunday Sept 28th at the Country Village Campground.
