Shawn was born on September 14, 1971 in Syracuse, the son of the late John Harry and Wanda Joyce (Moore) Lazore. He was raised in Syracuse, where he attended school. He married Cynthia Huston and was blessed with 3 children before their marriage ended.
Shawn was an ironworker with Local 33 in Rochester before moving to Akwesasne where he worked various odd jobs in the community with his cousin, Sway. He had a great love for fishing and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and kayaking with his sister, Michelle. He will fondly be remembered as a very likeable guy who knew no strangers.
Shawn is survived by his children, Alicia Lazore and her husband, Travis Walker of Snohomish, Washington, Vidalia Lazore and her significant other, Louis Pumarejo of Syracuse, and Shawn Michael Lazore Jr. of Syracuse; a granddaughter, Viviana Pumarejo; his siblings, Theresa Saumier, Cindy Burns, Barbara Lazore, John H. Lazore, Jr, Michelle Lazore, and Timothy Lazore; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7:00 PM. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerome Pastores, officiating. Burial will be held later in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or the Partridge House Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center.
