Shawnee Woods Obituary Jefferson, MD Shawnee Rene Woods, 57, of Jefferson, MD passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was born on May 14, 1967, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Robert Theodore Sr. and Nancy Rebecca (Byrd) Starliper.
Shawnee was a 1985 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She was previously employed by San-Mar Childrens Home Boonsboro, MD.
She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Shawnee enjoyed painting and drawing, camping in Ocean City, MD, and flower gardening. She loved her dog Coco.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Edward Woods whom she married on November 2, 2012; daughter Erin Ferrell (Joshua); son Dalton Woods and fiance Paula Justice; grandson Jesse Ferrell; sister Roberta Butts; brother Robert T. Starliper, Jr.; uncle Wesley Starliper; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Dalton Cherokee Woods; grandchildren Ohana and Samuel Ferrell; sister Dorothy F. Starliper; brother Johnny F. Starliper; niece Susan R. Valentine; nephew William D. Jones.
