Shelia Modglin, daughter of the late Leon and Edith Chiles Schaefer was born on March 23, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
On July 22, 1956 she was united in marriage to Bill Modglin in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Modglin preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a resident of Scott City, Missouri.
Survivors include two sons Rick (Cindy) Modglin of Marble Hill and Randy (Cindy) Modglin of Scott City, Missouri; two daughters, Cindy (Brad) Butler of Oklahoma, and Sheila (Bobby) Lincoln of Sedgewickville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Christopher Modglin of Marble Hill, Ryan (Destiny) Modglin of Scott City, Justin (Tara) Modglin of Scott City, Shane (Sarah) Butler of Oklahoma, Tyler (Leah) Butler of Oklahoma, LaNae (Ronnie) Kelley of Texas, and Laci Lincoln of Sedgewickville; five great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Taylor Butler.
Graveside service will be held private for family only.
