Sheila Ann Shoen (née VanHorn) born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Sheila Ann Shoen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at home in Hanover, Pennsylvania on October 16, 2025. She was surrounded by the warmth of the life she built and the love she gave so freely. Born in Parkersburg, WV, Sheila carried a quiet strength and a nurturing spirit throughout her life. Her passions were simple and profound - sewing, crafting, and pouring her heart into raising her two children and four grandchildren. Her creativity touched everything she did, from handmade quilts and holiday decorations to the imaginative Halloween costumes she lovingly made for her children, each one stitched with care and whimsy.
Sheila is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Wayne Shoen; her children, Ashley Ann Langfeld and Aaron Daniel Shoen; and her cherished grandchildren: Loic, Temperance, Soren, and Frederick. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, David VanHorn and Linda Canfield, who shared in her laughter and memories. Sheila's legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and unwavering love. Her home was a haven of warmth, her presence a source of comfort, and her life a testament to the beauty of everyday moments.
Details regarding a memorial service will be shared at a later time.
