Shelby Riley Seibert, 86, of Prosperity, widow of John Edward Seibert, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at her home.

Born on May 28, 1938, in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late Jesse S. and Ola Force Riley. She attended Hollywood High School and was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Circle and was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the Alter Guild. Shelby enjoyed a career for over 35 years in the floral industry where her passion was arranging flowers for others. She retired from B & B Florist.

She is survived by a son, Charles E. Seibert (Teresa)of Prosperity; a daughter, Frances Seibert of Prosperity; a sister, Sue Mills of Prosperity; a brother, Kelly Riley of Saluda; granddaughters, Jessica Ivy Seibert and Emily Joy Seibert and her faithful dog companion, Bernie and feline companion, Pepper.

Shelby was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Ann Seibert, sisters, Lena Dawkins and Lou Frances Crouch and brothers, J.A. Riley, Dewitt Riley, Ed Riley and Cauthen Riley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Hundley and Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Gary Seibert, Daniel Seibert, Doug Cassidy, Dean Wise, Ricky Riley and Craig Vice.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Seibert, Brandy Crocker and members of the Macedonia Fellowship Circle.
