Sheldon Willis Hamilton, born on January 17, 1982 in Scott County, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2025 at Annie's House in Boyle, MS. Sheldon was known for his warm heart and friendly demeanor; he truly never met a stranger.
An enthusiast of the outdoors, Sheldon found joy in squirrel hunting and riding his four-wheeler, activities that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature. He cherished his trips to the local cafe in Polkville, where he would often be found drinking coffee, enjoying a meal, and engaging in lively conversations with friends and neighbors. Sheldon also loved shopping at Walmart, a favorite pastime that brought him much joy as he selected new clothes.
Sheldon is survived by his devoted mother, Sheila Easterling Martin (Ricky) of Raleigh, and his stepfather, Jimmy Martin, Sr. of Raleigh. He leaves behind four sisters: Marsha Harmon (Harold) of Polkville, Kayla Curtis (Jeff) of Benton, Hope Husband (Joey) of Sumrall, MS, and Noel Tullos (Michael) of Raleigh. Additionally, he is remembered by his brother, Jimmy Martin, Jr. (Hollie) of Raleigh, nieces and nephews, Kelsey (Noah) Chandler, Ethan, Paxton, Alaina, Cooper, Jac, Alexis, Austin, and Ashleigh Anna and one great nephew Wylder; many uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends who will miss his infectious spirit and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Junior Hamilton. Sheldon’s legacy of warmth and friendship will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Chandler Wade, Paxton Harmon, Ethan Harmon, Joseph Easterling, Jacob Hamilton, Joey Tagert and Shawn Dennis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Curtis, Ricky Hand, Noah Ainsworth and Harold Harmon, Jr.
Visitation will be held 4pm-8pm Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Polkville United Pentecostal Church and Monday from 10am-12pm at the church.
Service will be held at 12pm Monday, November 10, 2025 at Polkville United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Jeremy Price and Bro. Joey Smith officiating.
Graveside will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery.
