Shelia Marie Telfair

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
On Sunday, January 4, 2026 God in his wisdom, dispatched his angels and welcomed Shelia "Tee" Marie Telfair home. Shelia was born in Paincourtville, LA to Ethel Mae Sterling and Issac Telfair. Shelia accepted Christ as her personal Savoir at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Salem Baptist Church by her beloved Pastor, Rev Welma Jackson, Sr. Shelia held on to God's unchanging hand and his many promises. She stood on nothing but God's grace and mercy. She believed His
word was her weapon in all life's battle.
Shelia was a proud graduate of Donaldsonville High School class of 1978. Shelia enjoyed family, friends, talking on the phone, and sewing to name a few of Shelia's life's pleasures. Being a homemaker was her calling. The compassion that she had for others bought joy to her soul. Shelia would seldom sing and quote "serving the Lord will payoff afterwhile." She also knew that if she lived right, her living would not be in vain.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories one (1) daughter, the apple of Shelia's eye, Ms. Kiana A. Telfair of Gonzales, LA. Three (3) grandchildren that she loved dearly, Shane McGalliard, Jr, Malik Allen, and Kennedi Allen, all of Gonzales, LA. One (1) sister, Patricia Telfair (Enenise), one (1) brother Donald Telfair and one (1) aunt, Betty Sterling, one (1) godson, Derrick Telfair, (3) three beloved friends, Ms. Beverly Williams, Ms. Stella Johnson, and Ms. Hazel Sterling. Including numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved and cared for during her life's journey.
Shelia was proceeded in death by her mother, Ethel Jackson and a host of relatives and friends, to name one, Ms. Karen "Terry" Walker.
