Shelly L. Dizdar

Shelly L. Dizdar, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio, Shelly settled in Canton with her husband, Russell. She wore many hats during her time in the workforce. In addition to working for Goodyear, Shelly worked as a pregnancy counselor for Akron Pregnancy Services and found joy as a speaker and counselor for many others. When not working, she enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Music was one of her greatest passions; the other was being Yaya to her special girl, Eisley. During her quieter times, Shelly could be found curled up in her favorite chair reading the afternoon away. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Russell Dizdar; father, Buddy Creekmore; and younger brother, Barry Creekmore. Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Charity (Jake); grandchild, Eisley Jane; parents, Evalee (Lester) Pointer; sister-in-law, Vickie Creekmore; nephews, Dakota and Shane (Carrie) Creekmore; great niece, Shay; nephew, Brandon Creekmore; great niece, Brianna; niece, Nicole (Jason) Zittle; great nephew, Noah Zittle; and great niece, Jordyn Zittle. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 7 p.m. at 3rd Street Church, 1253 3rd St. SE Canton, OH 44707. All are welcome to a dinner being held before the service at 6 p.m.
