On February 7, 2022 Shereen M. Womack, 50, of New Hartford was reunited with her Mema. She passed away unexpectedly at home with her family. She was born December 21, 1971 in New Hartford, the daughter of Ann Rose.

Shereen attended BOCES and Clinton Special Education until the age of 21 when she began working for the ARC of Oneida Lewis County. She worked for the ARC for 28 years until the pandemic when she self-declared her "retirement".

Shereen enjoyed spending weekends at the Respite Care home with her friends and felt like it was her second home. She enjoyed going out with her group to the Soda Fountain and her favorite store, Five Below. She was a member of ARC Stageworks and performed in several musicals, she was never one to shy away from the stage. Shereen's favorite things were music, comedy movies and above all else, Steve Harvey. She had quite the DVD and CD collection and would sing to any song, even if she didn't know the words. She was also known for "busting a move", anytime music was playing you couldn't get her off the dance floor. Shereen had a heart filled with happiness and love and was genuinely loved by every single person that ever met her.

Shereen is survived by her mother and best friend, Ann Rose; Sister and brother-in-law Nicolle and Donn Greico, brother and sister-in-law Chad and Kaitlin Rose, Sister Jaclyn Rose and Anthony DeFuria. Her nephews and nieces Nicholas and Ella Greico, Fiona Rose, Logan Rose and Mia DeFuria; Aunts and Uncles Jim and Mary Williams, Charles "Papa Jake" Vine, Dick and Jan Williams, Don and Judy Williams; Cousin Lori Cozza whom she shared a special relationship with; As well as several other cousins. Shereen had many favorite cousins, it just depended which one she was with at the time. She is predeceased by her grandparents David and Mary "Mema" Williams; Aunts and Uncles Joan Vine, Sara and Danny Cozza, Maryellen and Albert Lagray; as well as cousins Paul Cozza and Jacqueline Cosamano.

The family would like to extend the utmost gratitude to the staff at the Respite Care home, especially Milo and Diane for their care and compassion they have shown to Shereen for many years and for loving her like family.

Calling hours and Services will be postponed for now and announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Respite Care home of Utica and the ARC of Oneida Lewis County in Shereen's name.
