New Iberia, LA - A home-going celebration of life for Miss Sherell Nichole Joe, 39, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Broderick Morris, officiating.
She will await the resurrection at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (Hubertville Road) in Jeanerette, LA.
A visitation will be held at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday May 31, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Sherell Nichole Joe was a resident of Jeanerette, LA. She transitioned at 9:36 P.M. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her fond memory, her parents, William Charles Pickney (Sharon) of New Iberia, LA and Sharon Elizabeth Joe Richardson (Ben) of New Iberia, LA; three sons, Jeremy Smith and Jayden Smith of Morgan City, LA and Jahlon Smith of Jeanerette, LA; one daughter, Janiah Smith of Jeanerette, LA; three brothers, William Charles Joe (Kendra), Dequarius Francis and Joshua Pickney all of New Iberia, LA; two step-brothers, Ben Richardson Jr. of TN and Brian Richardson of New Iberia, LA; three sisters, Raynell Johnson (Brittney) of Baton Rouge, LA, Jalisa Shaw and Wayneisha Shaw of Jeanerette, LA; maternal grandmother, Rose Joe of Jeanerette, LA; a special mother-n-law Tammy Johnson of Baldwin, LA; godparents, Jefferson Jackson and Crystal James; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leroy Joe, Sr.; paternal grandparents, William and Audrey Pickney and one sister, Olivia Pickney, one aunt, Connie Thomas, and one uncle, Anthony Pickney.
