Sherell Lynn "Sherry" Shaffer

Cumberland, MD – Sherell "Sherry" Lynn Shaffer, 67, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Sterling Care – Frostburg Village.
Born November 25, 1954, in Cumberland, MD, Sherry was the daughter of the late Robert Donald Twigg and Helen Mae (Everett) Twigg. She was also preceded in death by her brother: Bobby Twigg; and her sister: Donna Mae Holcomb.
Sherry graduated from Allegany High School in 1972 and retired from the Allegany County Board of Education with 42 years of service. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed every second of it. Sherry was loved by everyone who knew her.
Sherry is survived by her son, Brett Shaffer and wife, Elizabeth; her grandchildren: Dylan, Owen and Riley Shaffer; her sisters: Carol Twigg Anderson and husband Stephen; Mary Ann DeVore; Brenda Pendergast and husband Tony; Kimberly Ann Twigg; and Jan Hymes and husband Bruce; as well as numerous, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
