Sheri Paulette Denton, 58, of Bessemer City, passed away at Caromont Regional on September 13, 2023. She was born January 24, 1965, in Cleveland County, to Nellie Smith and the late Ezell Denton.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brother, Steve Crisp.
Family was at the center of Sheri’s world. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her smile could brighten even the gloomiest of days, and her kind heart touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. The love she gave will forever be etched in the hearts of her family members.
Crafting and creating Christmas decor brought out her artistic side while sewing provided an outlet for her creativity.
The beach held a special place in Sheri’s heart. She gained solace in the calming rhythm of the waves and the sand between her toes. She found that the beach was rejuvenating and brought her peace. She was a great cook and a couple of her favorite recipes to make were lasagna and mac & cheese casserole – dishes that will now carry on as cherished traditions within the family.
Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Brandi Alexander (Steven Dick); son, David Alexander; siblings, Phillip Denton, Cindy Denton, Dana Raxter; grandchildren, Jillian Warren, Ian Alexander, Dominic Alexander, and Madison Alexander.
Sheri’s Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday September 18, 2023, at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Eric Griffin officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
