Sheridan L. Wezell

WEZELL, Sheridan – of Flint, age 91, went peacefully to Heaven to be reunited with his wife on Monday, September 15, 2025, at his daughter's residence. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Kim Christensen officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 1PM until 8PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 4PM until 8PM, and Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Sheridan was born on Valentine's Day, 1934, in Flint, to the late Leo and Lucille Wezell. He attended St. Agnes Catholic School and Emerson Schools in Flint. Prior to his retirement, Sheridan worked at General Motors for almost 50 years. On June 4, 1955, he married his beloved wife, Barbara Dell. Together they shared 68 years of marriage and attended St. Agnes Catholic Church. Barbara preceded him in death on December 10, 2023. Sheridan enjoyed being outdoors hunting, camping, traveling to his property in Johannesburg, and fishing – he especially looked forward to going fishing with his son-in-law. He had an award-winning, quick-witted personality that would put a smile on anyone's face. Above all, Sheridan loved his family and cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He will be dearly missed.
Sheridan is forever remembered by: Children: Ron (Connie) Wezell, Kathy (Andy) Wezell, and Karen (Lyle) Taylor; Grandchildren: Donnie Wezell, Jr., Todd Wezell, Amandia Taylor, Rachael (Shane Rowe) Wezell, Andrew Wezell, and Heather Taylor (Austin Matthews); Great-Grandchildren: Bryan Livingston, Haley Wezell, Kaitlyn Durbin, Kaila Durbin, Troy Klein, Gracelynn Rowe, and Baby Boy due February 2026; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Sheridan was preceded in death by: Wife, Barbara Wezell; Children: Don Wezell and Mike Wezell; Siblings: Louise and Leo; In-laws: Kenny (Francine) Dell, Bud (Beverley) Dell, and Delores (Robert) Bueche.
