Sherman T. Miller, 71, of Ottumwa, IA passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Ottumwa Regional Medical Center in Ottumwa, IA. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Pittsburg Cemetery near Keosauqua, IA. Memorial contributions in Sherman's honor may be directed to the family. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Sherman Thomas Miller was born on October 26, 1953, in Keosauqua, IA to Merle and Virginia Lewman Miller. He grew up in Van Buren County and honorably served his country in the United States Army. While in the army he was a military police officer and then went on to work in law enforcement after returning home. Sherman was the proud father of four children: April, Sherman Jr., Robert, and Amy. He loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; one sister, Alice Caviness; a son-in-law, Chris Feldmann, four nieces, three nephews, and four great nephews.
Left to honor his memory is a special friend, Ginny of Ottumwa, IA; four children, April (Greg) Moore, Sherman Miller Jr., and Robert Miller of Ottumwa, and Amy Feldmann of Bloomfield, IA; seven grandchildren, a sister, as well as many extended family and friends. Sherman was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
