Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the age of 61. Born December 5, 1961 to Harvey and Dianne (Reuther) Rogers in Dearborn, Michigan. One of four children, Sherri was raised by Ronald and Dianne Smith. Growing up Sherri enjoyed girl scouts and playing softball. She attended St. Alphonsus High School in Dearborn and graduated in 1981. Sherri loved her loud music and television. She was an avid bowler and she loved to go shopping. Sherri was strong in her faith. She was a selfless woman always putting others before her and giving her time to many community service projects. Most of all, she loved her family and bragged about them often. Sherri was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry Thiel; parents, Ronald and Dianne Smith; father, Harvey Rogers and her infant sister, Melissa Rogers.
Surviving are her children, Joseph (Desarae) Rogers, Brianna Thiel; grandchildren, Areonah Rogers, Easton Rogers, Drew Rogers; brother, Alan Rogers; sisters, Robin (David) Brady, Pamela Smith as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
