Sherrod “Jerry” Roberts Willett Jr., 87, died peacefully in his home in Pass Christian on September 4, 2025.
A lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast he enjoyed all the recreation it offered. He worked as an accountant and business consultant. He was most fond of the time he spent leading the Boy Scouts of Troop 208 in Bay St, Louis, and his time as leader of the Sea Scouts in Pass Christian.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary; and his son, Sherrod Willett III. He is survived by his son, Roy Willett; and his daughter, Cynthia Willett.
Special thanks to Amada Senior Care and St. Joseph Hospice for making his end-of-life journey more comfortable and fun.
In lieu of flowers, think of Jerry the next time you spend time with a young person, eat cookies with your dog, or help a turtle to cross a road.
