Sherry Ann Alphonso, born on October 5, 1961, native of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, in Covington, Louisiana. Sherry was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, loved Wrestle Mania, and enjoyed playing bingo.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents the late Claude and Irene Nunez Alphonso.
Sherry leaves behind her beloved siblings, Leonard (Gwen), Wayne (Carolyn), Lynn (Kenny), and Kent (Glenda), who cherished her and will carry forward her memory. She was preceded in death by siblings, Claudia (Rodney) and Michael (MaryAnn).
The family invites those who knew and loved Sherry to join them in honoring her life at the funeral services to be held on December 14, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM, both taking place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, located at 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, Louisiana.
Sherry Ann Alphonso will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Down Syndrome Society or Dementia Society.
