With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Sherry Earline Bugg on October 15, 2024. The heavens welcomed her tender soul, a day after her 81st earthly year. Born in Garnett, Kansas, on October 14, 1943 to Earl and Jeanne (Holcomb) Brooks, Sherry was a cherished daughter, beloved mother, astounding grandmother and great- grandmother.
Sherry's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for others. Those who knew her described her as a caring individual who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a contagious laugh, a hunger for knowledge, and a generous spirit, always ready to share joy and wisdom with those around her.
Sherry was a hardworking individual throughout her life, having pursued various occupations and trades. Sherry was a collector of books and a giver of fun little gifts, always seeking to spread happiness wherever she went.
Sherry's true legacy lies in her unshakable faith in God and her firm belief in His goodness. Her life was a reflection of her trust in the promises of God, and she found solace in knowing that she was in His hands.
While we mourn her physical absence, we take comfort in the knowledge that Sherry has been called home by the God she loved so dearly. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
In her memory, we will continue to carry on the values of faith, love, and kindness that Sherry exemplified every day of her life. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was a shining example of what it means to be a faithful servant of God.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jane and Floyd Holcomb; parents; grandson, Jake Bugg; son-in-law, Larry Jett; brother, Tom Brooks, sister, Mary Jane Cook.
Sherry is survived by her children, Wendi Jett, Melodie (Kent) Benson, Jodi (Michaela Beamer) Bugg; grandchildren, Brandy Jett, Kyle (Paige) Jett, Joel, Zack, Hunter Benson, Justin(Laura)Bugg and Josh(Lindsey)Bugg, great- grandchildren, Mikul and Macaela Jett, Ella, Thea, Livia Bugg; sister, Jacqeline (Kip) Johnson and many other family and friends.
A funeral service to honor Sherry's memory will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Sherry's family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday October 20, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to W.I.N.G.S and can be left in the care of the funeral home. Condolences for the family can be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
