Sherry Effler Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, daughter of the late Oscar Enoch "Bill" and Alma Corbin Williams, she was a retired employee of Reeves Brothers. Sherry was a life-long pianist at various churches, including her home church, Lyman First Baptist. She loved music, playing for choirs, and directing children's choirs. She was a member of the Spartanburg Symphony Chorus, and studied voice at Converse College.
Surviving are a son, Tim Effler (Dana) of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Ryan Headley (Carrie) and Justin Headley (Casey); and five great-grandchildren, Philip Headley, Austin Headley, Alizabeth Headley, Eli Headley, and Amelia Headley.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Terri Headley, two brothers, Daniel Williams and Gerald Williams, and three sisters, Vera Morrow, Madeline Williams, and Renee DeYoung.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Mr. Ryan Headley.
