Memorial services for Sherry Ann Kerr, 64, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Dan Summers and Rev. Cheryl Driggers officiating.
Mrs. Kerr was born on February 13, 1961, in Georgetown, Ohio, to the late Gerald Lee Vanwinkle and Carol (Manning) Vanwinkle, and died Thursday, June 5, 2025, in her home surrounded by family.
Mrs. Kerr enjoyed being outdoors kayaking, fishing, gardening, planting flowers, and going to the beach. Sherry loved to cook for her family especially on thanksgiving. Mrs. Kerr liked to decorate for every occasion and do arts and crafts. Sherry loved a good round of Bingo and watching soap operas.
She is survived by her daughter and husband, Christal and Jared Bryan of Huntington; daughter and fiance, Missy Bynum and Kolby Ivy of Moscow, TX; daughter Jeannie Kerr of Huntington; grandchildren, Christian, Spencer, Jace, Tyson, Mason, Kendal, and Eli; great-grandchild, Jaycob Kerr; brothers, Terry Vanwinkle, and Perry Vanwinkle; sisters, Christine Stalls, Tina Potter, Jane Miguez, and Susan Kerr; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kerr; parents; brothers, Barry Vanwinkle, Bobby Kerr, and Criag Kerr; and sisters, Cindy Vanwinkle.
The family would like to invite everyone to join together at Huntington Community Center at the conclusion of the service.
