Sherry Lynn Meredith

Sherry Lynn Markel Meredith, age 69 of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023. Born on May 15, 1954, in Chamblee, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Earl Markel and the late Emma Nabers Markel. In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, David F. Meredith, who passed away in 2008, and by her brothers Dennis Markel and James R. Markel.
Sherry spent most of her working career at Southern Moulding where she was a frame maker. She was also very talented at crocheting and could make almost anything. Her family members were happy recipients of a new crocheted beanie each Christmas. Sherry loved her family dearly and worked hard to take care of them. Talking with her grandchildren brought her and them much enjoyment.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Doug Tuckerman of Summerville, Georgia, and Renee and Ben Wilson of Temple; her precious grandchildren, Chasity Corkill, Benjamin Kirk Wilson, Jessie Scott Wilson, and Kayleigh Wilson; and her sisters, Evelyn Louis Bowden and Patricia Chunn, of Powder Springs and Norma Miller of Tennessee Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Sherry Meredith will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2023 from Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and on Friday morning from 11:00 until the funeral hour.
