With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sherry Diane Norris (Roy), who departed
this life on October 19, 2025, after a brave fight against cancer. She was an adored mother,
grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone
she encountered.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Herman Gregory Roy and Melba Dean
Kearley, her husband, Darrell Norris, her long-time friend and partner, Mr. Jackie Rose, her
brother, Tommy Roy, and her grandparents.
She is survived by her three children: Niki Kearley
(Chris) of Petal, Harley Norris (Cody) of Hattiesburg, and, Danielle Norris of Oklahoma, and Dalton Norris (Sairah) of Hattiesburg.
Additionally, she leaves behind her brother, Chad Kearley (Angel), her father-in-law, Larry
Burke, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren, Preston, Kolton, and Brooklynn
Stanley of Petal, along with Landyn Hughes, Navy-Kate, and one grandbaby on the way, filled
her life with joy and purpose.
After the passing of her dear friend and partner, Jackie Rose, Sherry dedicated much of her
time to Roses Quick Stop. Always bringing a little Happiness and joy to customers and
coworkers alike.. Her favorite color, orange, symbolized her vibrant personality and generous
spirit. She consistently went above and beyond to assist others; her kindness will be fondly
remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 24, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at Pine Haven Funeral
Home. Following the visitation, family and friends are invited to gather at the Dixie Community
Center. Please bring a covered dish, as there will be someone available to collect your
contributions prior to the service.
Sherry will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Rest in peace, Sherry. You will forever hold a place in our hearts.
