Sherry Place Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center on Dec. 3, 2025.
Sherry Lee Place, 65 of Delaware, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 1, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her loving children, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born December 30, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, the only daughter of the late Robert & Peggy (Nunn) Chesser.
Sherry's happy place was sitting in her backyard, in her swing and watching the birds and other animals come and go. She had quite the flower garden, and recently was in her "Pink Era". She enjoyed watching the TV Land Channel, including "The Andy Griffith Show" and "I Love Lucy". She most recently enjoyed watching the show "The Neighborhood". She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Those close to her will remember her for her resilient, strong, caring, and lovable nature.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Jessica (Dave) Spinosi, Josh (Kaitlind) Harris, Hayley Place, Corey (Bridget) Place, Cody Place and Madison Place; 10 grandchildren: Kenzie, Gavin, Braelynn, Maleya, Hezekiah, Zakius, Archie, Lyla, Kinlee and Isaiah. Brothers Tim (Lori) and Tom Chesser. Niece Melissa Wolford and nephews Kyle and Eric Chesser.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Peggy Chesser, grandparents Hazel and Leo Chesser and infant son Tyler Place.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
