Sherry R. Robbins, 60, of Julian, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 9, 1964, in Lock Haven, the daughter of Vonda M. (Askey) Weight of Mingoville and the late Jim E. L. Weaver of Howard.
On July 30, 1988, in Mingoville, Sherry married the love of her life, Wade J. Robbins, who survives at home. She is also survived by their three children: Zachary J. Robbins (Courtney) of Howard, Cody W. Robbins of Julian, and Mandy R. Donley (George) of Julian and five grandchildren who she adored completely: Henry, Holden, Remi, Maci, and Piper.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents Charlie and Lucie Weaver, grandparents Harold and Ester Askey, and her beloved step-father Henry W. Weight Sr.
Sherry was a 1982 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. After graduating, she worked at Penn State for several years. She left Penn State to pursue her and her husband's entrepreneurial dreams. Together they built their business, Robinson Septic Service, where she worked the rest of her life. Additionally, in 2000, she received her nail technician license. She then opened her own tanning salon where she enjoyed doing nails in the evenings after work for many years. In 2008, Wade and Sherry bought their forever home where they opened an event venue, The Chalet at Robbins Paradise Ranch, on the property, which she loved managing. Although she held many impressive titles over her lifetime, there was nothing that compared to title of "G" given to her by her grandchildren.
Sherry never went anywhere without her Nikon camera. She absolutely loved to take and edit her pictures. She also enjoyed traveling around with her husband in their Lonestar motor coach. But her favorite place to be was home on the ranch where she loved taking care of the animals, shed hunting, mowing the grass, working in her barn, fishing and frogging with her grandchildren, or just simply sitting on the porch in the sun.
Above all, she loved and was incredibly proud of her family. She went out of her way to make sure even the most ordinary days were unforgettable when they were all together; fixing elaborate meals, showcasing over the top decorations, giving incredible gifts, and plotting extensive events for the kids was her favorite way to express her immense love for them. Her absence is deeply felt but she will always be a part of who we are and remain in our hearts forever.
In accordance with Sherry's wishes, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville Cemetery.
