Sherry Diane Ruffner, 72, of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away on October 26, 2025 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN. Sherry was born on December 21, 1952 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of her life in Anderson, Indiana.
Sherry graduated from Anderson High School 1971. She graduated with an Associate degree in Medical Assisting from Ivy Tech Community College.
Sherry retired from being a ophthalmologist tech for Dr. Perez and Dr. Li Ophthalmology in Anderson, Indiana.
Sherry was a member of Fortville Nazarene church. Sherry sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Government during her time at Ivy Tech Community College.
Sherry was a very sweet, loving, caring Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.
Sherry enjoyed sewing, spending time with family, and sharing her love for Jesus. Sherry was a very faithful prayer warrior right up until the very end. Sherry had a heart of gold and was willing to help or pray for anyone. Her Motherly love will live on forever.
Sherry is survived by daughter, Angela Carmack, son-in-law, Jimmy Carmack, Jr.; brother Lester Swan; granddaughter, Ashley Carmack;
grandson, Corey Carmack; great-granddaughter, Clementine Carmack; great-grandson, Colton Carmack; special spiritual sister, Wendy Wells; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents David Swan and Florence Swan; Love of her life, Lewis Ruffner; sister, Elena Swan; half brother, David Lee Swan.
A Memorial and Celebration of life will be at a later date.
